The Springs Fire near Lake Perris, which grew to more than 4,100 acres in a matter of hours, is now 95% contained following evacuations and school closures.

The Springs fire, which ripped through more than 4,000 acres in the Moreno Valley area on Friday and forced mass evacuations, was 45% contained by Saturday morning, fire officials announced.

Since its discovery 11 hours ago, it has burned 4,176 acres.
